(9.29) So in December, in Toronto, the library is closed more often than not and in desperation I ended up reading Anne MacCaffrey’s Dragonflight. Now, I remember MacCaffrey’s books from the eighties when I was a little kid. They were my introduction to a life-long love of sci-fi and fantasy books. But I hadn’t read any of ‘em since I was a little kid, and… I mean, academically I know that 1968 was a really different time for women. But even so, I, um, was not at all prepared for Dragonflight.
