We’re Gonna Netwoik

Submitted entry: Well, it appears that all of the jobs I talked about in my last entry aren’t going to happen as late yesterday I got a call. One of the companies I contract for wants to send us all to Albuquerque for eight months. We’re all pretty excited at “playing mainstream” for a little while. So now I’m looking online for corporate apartments in town, rental cars, playgroups, unschooling groups, museums, and other things to do. We verified that we can, indeed, get a library card while we’re there so that’s a big improvement on our trip to New York. Our life practically revolves around the library. So I think we’re going to be leaving sometime around the 10th and I’ll be starting work on the 16th. Then sometime around March we’ll be coming home for a long rest.

Meanwhile, Paul’s beginning to teach himself to swim. Out of nowhere today he just started going underwater and floating in the pool. A few weeks ago he was afraid to go in much over his waist. Funny how things changed. I’m really excited now for his birthday party. We’re having it tomorrow and we’ve reserved the pool for it. We got a ton of halloween themed stuff from the party store including a skull cake pan (his choice - what a birthday cake, eh? I lobbied for the eyeball votive candles for birthday candles but Sage vetoed them saying that they were too big and not “real” birthday candles).
