Today’s podcast can be found over at Cast On, where I’m standing in for the wonderful Brenda Dayne.
Please note – I am waiting for 2 participants in April’s Round Robin Story Project and 3 people to answer next week’s question.
Next week’s question What did you want to be when you grew up? Did you achieve your goal? Please call 206-666-3043 or, in the UK, 0844 484 3271 (.05 a minute) with the answer. You may include your non-commercial URL.
I’m also looking for a woman with a Brooklyn or New Jersey accent to play Harriet, and a woman with a breathy, feminine voice to play Cilantro in the audio version of the Fabulous Secret Adventures of Eight Feline Cohorts.

If you seriously need embroidery floss I’d be happy to be your assistant shopper. E-mail your requirements. Are discount craft stores off-limits for socio-economic reasons?

Sage, I really enjoyed your Cast-On podcast. Your moving story about your mother was just beautiful. Have you considered writing? I ask because I lead book club discussions and would love to be able to discuss what you describe so beautifully. (A snippet I left on Brenda’s answering machine was on the podcast lastweek.)
Take care,

I teared up during the story about Mom. Is it normal to get emotional while listening to a knitting podcast?
Great show, Sage!
Now I want to know the details of the three-spool thread separation technique.

Hi Sage,
I love the sun beret you posted on the Cast-On comments. I was going to ask you for the free pattern you were giving away, then I noticed that you were giving away the actual hat! I can’t find your email address, so I’m posting here. If it doesn’t already have a home, I’d wear it with pride. (Seattle can always use a bit more sun.)
I’d be happy to supply you with good-Karma DMC floss. My favorite cross-stitch supply is a woman-owned small business who has been in business for 19 years. The owner is great. She’s always working the counter when I go in (I don’t know if she has employees or not.) and is the kind of lady who you can call out a DMC floss number to and she can describe the color from memory–including discontinued colors from years past. The floss costs more there than the mega-stores, but it’s worth it just to get to talk to her.
And like, if you sent me a hat, I’d have your return address to mail you some floss. ;>
Peace,
–Syne

Oh yeah, and I loved your Cast-On podcast as well, but I’ve already blathered on about it in her comments page…

Thank you so much!
I’ve posted a floss separation tutorial here.
