I’m listening to your Words Like This podcast. I never had Barbies, my brother doesn’t have a gun and I never grew up with cable. I’m perfectly normal now and in first year university. I agree that these things are not necessary, and I am proud of my mother for never comprimising her values. The only Barbies I had were the two she played with when she was little. I was jealous of my friends and all their dolls, but I had other dolls that taught me of history and the past instead. Thank-you for speaking on this!
