I found the tambourine and the traffic sounds on the Freesound Project.
Overheard Sometimes I only overhear a few words as I walk by. Friday night, I heard a woman saying to a man, “Well, she has her baby now, WHAT ELSE DOES SHE NEED?” What was the rest of the conversation? Send in your version. (Voicemail or voice comment preferred, but email is all right too.)
Audioplay I’m going to put together another audioplay, and I want your help. Send in one of the following:
a title for the play
an object
(taken) a beginning line
(taken) a relationship between two people
and when I have all four, I’ll put them together and create an audioplay from your ideas.
Latest Question Tell us something about when you were fourteen. A pop culture memory, a political memory, something specific to your own life – anything, really, as long as you were fourteen when it happened.
Or, you may answer any question I’ve ever asked, preferably by voicemail or voice comment. The list follows:
How do you spend your time while listening to Quirky Nomads?
What’s the first thing that made you smile today?
What’s your first memory?
What did you want to be when you grew up? Did you achieve your goal?
How are you stereotypical? How are you atypical? (Example: “I’m a grandmother, I knit pink booties…and I own a Harley Davidson motorcycle.”)
Tell us something about the kindness of strangers.
What was the last dumb argument you had about? Who was it with? Did you win?

I was at our public library looking at the adult books on tape/CD for a change and they had a 4 volume set of recordings of sounds from the BBC library. I’ll have to look more closely to get further info for you if you can’t find them.
