In this podcast, Jennifer tells a story about New Orleans.
A measurable goal Please help raise $661 and provide basic reading materials to students whose school was destroyed by Hurricane Rita.
Many students do not have books at home and no transportation to go to the local public library therefore the books shared at school are all they have. Any help that can be given would be greatly appreciated. Please help to make a difference in the lives of children that have lost not only their school but many of them their home with over 15 feet of water caused by the surge. Reading will take them to places they may never experience in their lifetime

thanks for keeping the need of those wiped out in last year’s hurricane season in the minds of those of us who weren’t similarly affected. i work in for an international association of public safety communications folks (9-1-1 operators, etc.) that is headquartered in florida, so it’s stayed in my mind through professional contacts and friends in those areas, but most people have been able to let it slide to a back corner of their minds. i appreciate you dragging it back to the forefront.
