Podcast: Mr. Belt

Today Anne of Downshifting reads an answer from Teresa about a kiss. Then, plastic surgery as a gift. And I cast about for a new, lasting sushi restaurant relationship.

  1. I’d like to thank Anne for reading my answer, and Sage for the show. Nice ending, by the way! ;)

  2. I don’t know anyone who likes sushi as much as you seem to but I’ve been looking for years for the perfect resturant to replace my favorite pizza parlor that closed down. Good luck in your quest!

  3. I love puns, I live off them.

    Good one Todd.

Also love the sushi, me and the gals get the take out (often) from the sushi dude on Augusta. I ‘ll get the name later(funny how the mind blanks out sometimes) It’s a really small place, We’ve never eaten at the place, just take out, but it’s yummy.

The last big one I went to was Sushi Island, I didn’t eat so much that time, my friends enjoyed it (spice roll was raved about.)

Go search and eat, enjoy. See ya soon.

  4. Hey Sage,

It may be a bit out of your way but Hosu is a nice place. Not as yummy as Crispy Roll but still quite tasty.

    Good luck in your quest.

  5. Hi Sage!

My iPod went down a month and a half ago and now that I’ve gotten my new one, it’s taken me a while to catch up. So far, I’ve mostly listened to the Friday podcasts, filling the others in where I can. I wanted to say the quirky quizzes are fantastic, as always! But I think my new favorite of ALL TIME is the dangerous film club episode. The husband and I (being displaced Minnesotans) are huuuuuge MST3K fans; listening to you and Brenda and Syne riffing on a short from the fifties filled my heart with warm fuzzies and bacon.

Oh, and HELL YEAH, MIDTERM ELECTIONS! WOOOO HOOOO! I played that show for everyone I could get to sit still and listen.

    Thanks for all you do!

  6. I was going to say that I think I’d prefer to be seduced by sushi while listening to the Baker’s Wife get seduced by Cinderella’s prince. Ya know, having a sushi moment while she has a different kind of moment. But then brilliance struck, and I have an urge to find the complete lyrics to the song from Sweeney Todd about priest pies, because that’s a hilarious sushi-Sondheim moment just waiting to happen, with a few clever tweaks.

Now I have a major sushi craving, and no spending money to fulfill it. All your fault!

  7. I *loved* the pun part. :) Especially your reaction.
