  1. iTunes is horking and won’t download the honeybee post.

    I thought the reason for rice dye and the forms of shibori was that Japan didn’t particularly have hiving bees to make wax for batik, like the neighbors were all doing.

    Bees are sweet critters, it’s okay if they’re a bit - dim.

    Happy all the midwinter festies of twinkly lights. I didn’t know you were a fan of Julian of Norwich!

  2. I didn’t have to do the drawing. I was crocheting and had a ruler nearby, and merely had to look at how big 5cm was to shudder.

  3. Oh my goodness. The stuff of nightmares! Maybe the Japanese bees are too shy to pass on the info? Are they self conscious of their dancing style? Or could they be snooty and want to keep the info for themselves, despite the cost? Hmm.. food for thought! xo

    But — what’s the heat coefficient that European honeybees might create, and what’s their flashpoint?

    The mental image of bees doing wiggles and jazz hands - okay a person in a bee costume, doing those human dance moves - cracks me up. Thank you!
