Peter Pollard
Sheffield, UK

Once upon a time there was a boy who was loved. But the love was unrequited, unreturned, and so the lover took the things that brought to mind the object of their affections; A pirate captain’s hat, a grey goose feather, the taste a sunrise leaves on pine wood chippings, a bronze crosshair, the jack of diamonds, the two big legs from a young grasshopper. All these things they placed in an old kettle, and they boiled until he’d been turned into…well, he’d been hoping, an irresistable man. But instead he’d made himself a rubber duckie in a pirate hat. Now Peter Pollard wanders Sheffield, trading his voice for the seven items he needs in order to turn himself into the platonic ideal.
